Flowers and resin

Biomass covers everything we supply in solid form, from loose flower tops to pressed resin and resin-coated pieces. The form mainly determines how concentrated the material is and how it looks. Everything comes from our own, traceable cultivation and is analysed per batch.

From flower to grit

Flowers are the dried tops themselves, hand-selected. After harvest the material is slowly dried until the moisture content is low enough for storage, and then checked over for stem and leaf. Grit is the finer material left over from that same processing: smaller particles from the same harvest, only less even in size. That explains the price difference, not a difference in origin.

Resin and the rock variants

Resin concentrate is the pressed resin part, separated from the plant material. The resin sits naturally in small glandular hairs on the flower, and these are mechanically separated off, usually by sieving at low temperature. The result is more compact and darker than the flower it comes from.

The variants with rock in the name are flower tops that are first coated with oil and then with a layer of resin or grit. Because the oil acts as an adhesive layer, that outer layer stays put and a compact whole is created. The difference between IceRock, MoonRock, HarsRock and CannaRock lies in the way that layer is built up and in the material used for it. They are therefore heavier and more compact than loose flower of the same weight.

Pre-rolled and storage

With pre-rolled material the rolling work is already done. Each joint is built up in the same way, with the same amount of material and the same dimensions, and comes in a resealable box. Store all biomass dark, cool and dry, in the closed packaging. Light breaks down plant components, heat lets volatile substances evaporate and material that is too moist can go mouldy. A closed cupboard or drawer will do; the windowsill and the bathroom will not.

We have an analysis made of every batch, with the batch number, the cannabinoid profile, the moisture content and the checks for heavy metals, pesticides and microbiology. Give us the batch number from your packaging and we'll send you the corresponding report.
